With the ShieldPlatinum home warranty plan, AHS covers the parts and components of 9 kitchen and laundry appliances that keep your home running - refrigerator, oven, range/cooktop, built-in microwave, dishwasher, garbage disposal, instant hot/cold water dispenser, and your clothes washer and dryer. And your coverage includes $4,000 per covered appliance per agreement term. We also cover multiples of each item – like that extra fridge or double oven, and we don’t care how old your appliances are – they’re covered.

Yes, for covered breakdowns, AHS will repair or replace the covered appliance subject to the limitations and exclusions in your plan agreement. We’ll even haul away your old defective unit. AHS has the sole right to determine, according to the terms of your contract, whether a covered item will be repaired or replaced.

With the ShieldPlatinum home warranty plan, there is a $50,000 total limit per agreement term and we never limit the number of service requests you can make. Heating and AC systems will have a maximum coverage limit of $5,000 per covered system and $4,000 per covered appliance per agreement term. It also includes unlimited AC refrigerant and a $1,000 roof leak repair coverage limit.

In the event that your item is not covered, we'll keep you updated so you have the ability to decide whether you want us to complete the repair out-of-pocket or not. One benefit is that you won’t have to find the right Pro for the job because we’ll handle that for you. An AHS customer service representative can help answer any questions you might have related to your coverage.

You can place your first service request 30 days after you sign-up. When you buy online, the date your plan starts shows on the confirmation page and in your email confirmation. We won’t charge you until your coverage starts, but you can still set up your online profile on MyAccount so you’ll be ready to place service requests, access your plan agreement, and get member discounts on home maintenance services.
