Electrical panel boxes that solely provide electrical power to items or structures located outside the main foundation of the covered home
Audio, video, computer, intercom, alarm or security wiring and cable
Meter boxes
Lighting fixtures
Direct current (D.C.) wiring or components and/or low voltage systems
Any type of home generator (including back-up and portable or installed generators) and associated electrical wiring and switches

Electrical FAQs

All 3 of our home warranty plans include coverage for parts of interior electrical lines and components, including hard-wired home electrical systems and built-in exhaust, bathroom, attic, & whole house fans. Please see the coverage details on the page above or the plan agreement for more information on limitations and exclusions. 

Our standard home warranty contract term is 1 year and renews for additional 1-year terms unless canceled. You can place your first service request 30 days after you sign up for your plan. You will not be charged until your coverage begins at the 30-day mark.

If we can’t repair your interior electrical systems and components, we’ll replace them subject to the limits and exclusions in your plan agreement, and cover the cost to remove the defective items. Please see the plan agreement for coverage details, including service fees, limitations and exclusions.

You can place your first service request 30 days after you sign up for your plan. Service requests can easily be placed 24/7 online via MyAccount or by calling 1-888-691-2854 during standard business hours to request service.
