Well Pump Warranty Coverage

While well pump units typically last for 10 years or more, they can still be subject to a number of potential malfunctions. When you add Well Pump Unit coverage to your home warranty plan, you don't have to worry when covered issues arise. You can simply place a service request online or call American Home Shield®.

American Home Shield will pay up to $1,500 per contract term for access, diagnosis, and repair or replacement of covered issues.

Well Pump warranty coverage details

Covered:
The parts and components of the well pump unit used as main source of water for the covered home. Must be located on same property as the covered home
Not Covered:
Well drilling
The well pump for geothermal and/or water source heat pumps
Any other component or part of the well pump system including, but not limited to, any type of piping, electrical or cable lines
Well casings, pressure switches, and booster pumps other than the well pump unit

Well Pump FAQs

Yes, our well pump unit coverage includes all parts and components of well pumps used as a main source of water to the home. It is an additional coverage option that can be added to your home warranty plan at the point of purchase or within 60 days of becoming a member. 

Well pump coverage includes all components and parts of well pump units used as a source of water to the home. American Home Shield will pay up to $1,500 for the access, diagnosis, repair, or replacement of your covered well pump issue per plan agreement term. Well pump unit coverage runs concurrently with your annual home warranty plan. 

You can purchase well pump unit coverage when you purchase your home warranty plan, within the first 60 days of becoming a member, or during the renewal period when your contract expires.

You can place your first service request 30 days after you sign up for your plan. Service requests can easily be placed 24/7 online via MyAccount or by calling 1-888-691-2854 during standard business hours to request service.
