Realty Trivia Challenge

According to the National Association of Realtors®, which state had the highest number of REALTORS in 2012?
A. New York
B. Texas
C. California

C. California

Florida and California were hit hardest during the housing bust, but now California is seeing substantial price gains. California is home to six of the top 10 metropolitan areas nationwide that have seen the biggest annual gains year-over-year. Near the end of 2012, Santa Barbara led with an increase of 32% year-over-year. San Francisco, San Jose, Sacramento, Oakland and Riverside also posted impressive gains. These numbers reflect a decline in the number of California foreclosures being sold at rock bottom prices. Plus, they indicate there is a rising demand for real estate in the coastal cities.

These positive economic signs may have been the reason more REALTORS felt encouraged to work in California.
