If there's one appliance in your house you rely on daily, it's your refrigerator. That's why keeping it running properly is a must. Refrigerators last, on average, about 10 to 15 years. Over the course of its life, your refrigerator will probably experience a few problems. Rather than panicking when you discover a covered problem, you can simply use your American Home Shield® home warranty plan.
American Home Shield will pay up to $4,000 per covered appliance ($7,000 per covered appliance with the ShieldComplete℠ plan) for access, diagnosis, and repair/replacement per the limitations and exclusions in your plan agreement of any covered appliance.
With American Home Shield, all parts and components of your refrigerator are covered. AHS will cover up to $4,000 per appliance with our ShieldPlus plan and up to $7,000 per appliance with the ShieldComplete plan. And, if you have multiple refrigerators, we'll cover them all.
Our ShieldPlus and ShieldComplete plans cover the parts and components of refrigerators, including water leaks, ice machine, water filter, evaporator fan, and thermostat. The ShieldPlus plan covers up to $4,000 for each covered appliance. The ShieldComplete plan covers up to $7,000 for each covered appliance. And if we can’t repair the covered item, we’ll replace it subject to the limitations and exclusions in your plan agreement. See the page above or the plan agreement for more detailed coverage information.
Our standard home warranty plan agreement term is 1 year. You can place your first service request once your plan becomes active on the day of closing.
If we can’t repair your covered refrigerator, we’ll replace it subject to the limitations and exclusions of your plan agreement and remove the defective item.
Yes, we cover multiples, like your extra fridge.
