Refer to the Stipulation of Settlement for complete terms and conditions of the proposed settlement. Additionally, after negotiation among AHS, class counsel and counsel for one objecting class member, the settlement has been modified, in keeping with the attached Settlement Agreement. The Court issued its final order and memorandum approving the settlement, and no appeals from that final judgment were taken. Therefore, the Effective Date under the Settlement was January 10, 2012. On or before February 9, 2012, AHS will mail a postcard notification to all potential Settlement Class Members with details regarding when, how and where to submit a Claim for Settlement Compensation. |

Claims for Settlement Compensation process |
A Claim for Settlement Compensation must include, at a minimum, a completed, signed Proof of Claim Form (available here) and a complete and true copy of the HUD-1 Settlement Statement from the real estate transaction in which your purchase of the Home Service Contract was made. Claims for Settlement Compensation must be mailed to the Claims Administrator at Abney v. American Home Shield Class Action Settlement, c/o The Garden City Group, Inc., P.O. Box 9691, Dublin, OH 43017-4991, and must be received by the Claims Administrator between February 29, 2012 and April 30, 2012.
